Search Examples

Simple Search: Keyword examples

Since the default simple search page offers only one search box, a user can employ search tags (e.g., au: and ti: and su:) to garner more relevant results. The alternative and likely method for the average user will be to conduct a search without tags and then narrow using the faceted browsing options.

The advanced search page offers additional boxes for the title, author, and standard numbers (ISBN and OCLC) making awareness of the field tags less necessary, but the subject (su:) tage may still be employed in the subject field if one so wishes.
